Aegina Island

AEGINA

Saronic gulf's precious island

Aegina is an idyllic destination for either a multi-day vacation or a short-day excursion, which can offer whatever the visitor is looking for, regardless of age and requirements. The island has an incredible uniqueness of balance, which combines the traditional beauty and sense of the environment, with the modern way of life.

Discover the beauties and the Historicity of Aegina

Aegina  fulfills  the requirements for the visitor to have an amazing time during his stay on the island.

The fact that Aegina is a close destination from the city of Athens and the continuous flaw of the passenger vessels and ferries which reach its port daily, are the reasons why Aegina is the ideal solution for you to shake off the daily routine.

An island with rich history, with unique natural beauty, which remains unchanged despite intense tourism, with its picturesque fish taverns, its cafes, its organized and unorganized beaches, full of neoclassical buildings, ancient monuments and dozens of traditional shops in the beautiful narrow alleys.

Agios Nikolaos

The well-known and multi-photographed small church of Agios Nikolaos, is one of the first images you see, when you arrive by Ferry boat and it seems to ``welcome`` you to the island of Aegina.

Graphicity and harmony of colors

If there is something that characterizes Aegina, it is the colorfulness and the the picturesqueness, which you can find everywhere throughout the island, whether ``walking`` on the city's pier and in the beautiful alleys, or visiting the wonderful villages of the island.

Nightlife

On an island, with a priority of having its visitors as satisfied as possible, the necessary supplement of night life, could not be missing. The island offers dozens of options to enjoy your drink.

Food and drink

Enjoy wonderful meals, either by the sea, or in the picturesque alleys, where you will find beautiful taverns for all tastes. The options are plenty and above all ... with excellent quality

Beaches

Aegina has dozens of organized and unorganized beaches to enjoy your swim. The organized part of the beaches is particularly noteworthy and the facilities are excellent

Μoni Island

Moni is a small islet at the opposite of Perdika village and constantly connected by boat routes. It is not inhabited since it is a protected ecosystem, with special fauna (Deers, krikri-goats, peacocks, etc.). It has some nice beaches to relax, with a centrally organized Beach Bar.

History - Ancient monuments

Aegina has a rich and long history. It is full of Ancient Monuments and Archaeological sites. Such as, the ancient Temple of Athena Aphaia, the Temple of Apollo (Kolona), the Archaeological Museum in the city, the Historical Tower of Marcellus etc.

Religious Aegina

Aegina hosts a huge number of religious buildings and monuments of cultural heritage. Religious monuments, pilgrimages with traditional manifestations of religious faith and Christian history. Most important and famous is the Monastery and the Church (builted after the death) of Agios Nektarios, where the 20th Century Saint, lived, cloistered and died.

Testimonials

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms, nice/ok pool aria, cold beer and safe. Staff helped with taxi and boat times, very friendly and nice, speaks English. We had room out of the sun after 12, so the room doesn’t get so warm. The ac worked good , and shower was good, fridge cold, nice balcony with view glimmer of ocean and of the mountains. Good place for clothes, small tv. WiFi worked very well, only 10 min to walk to the city (taxi 3 min, 4 E). Beach also 10 min walk.

Attentive, eager to please, family run hotel with friendly staff. - Great value for money. - Close to a secluded, quiet little beach away from the crowds - BIg pool area - which was unexpected. Lots of lounges and space to chill with table service. - Balcony with sea and sunset view. - Breakfast is simple, but well thought out. Cappuccino machine, local pastries, fruit etc. Pool menu is simple, but good quality. Drinks are cold and reasonably priced. - Wifi works throughout the complex including the pool area.

After a disappointing stay in Agia Marina we were delighted to book into this Hotel, a 10 minute walk from bustling Aegina Town. The value for money was superb, probably the best of our 3 week stay in Greece.Tthe room was spotless and the shower was worthy of a 5 star hotel. The pool was lovely as was the breakfast and the staff extremely friendly.

We have been coming for years due to the friendly , nothings enough trouble welcome we get . Family run and staff are eager to please . Full of local information and helpful with any needs. They have upped their game this year with the pool side food . We ordered homemade Greek dishes a few times and the salads are fresh & tasty . 10 mins walk from the town & beach so a great location. All precautions in place during Covid made us feel safe and looked after . Thank you guys and see you again next year.

This Hotel gets 5 stars because of the great hospitality of the wonderful hostess and her family, the fantastic common facilities, pool, club house and tennis courts along with its location cleanliness and reasonable price. The rooms are functional, but some attention needs as far as the WiFi is concerned.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Klonos Anna with our family. This family run hotel exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a sense of home in Greece look no further. Anna and her family can not do enough for you during your stay and treated our children age 1 and 3 like their own. Such special people that welcome you with open arms and ensure the most perfect stay while in Aegina. As a family that never returns to places and always looks for something new, following this stay that has changed and we we will be back! Thank you Anna and family.

Small familly run hotel at the outskirts of Aegina town. Friendly and helpfull owner familly. Most of the rooms offer a nice view of the saronic gulf. We found the location nice, a bit outside of Aegina, but you can reach the center after a 10 minute walk. I absolutely recommand this hotel.

Klonos Anna is a lovely place to stay in Aegina. Ten minute walk into Aegina Town. The rooms are great with lovely sea views from the front. It has a great pool area to relax after a bit of touring. There’s a lovely bar area and lounge to. If you are in that part of the world we would highly recommend it especially for the owners.
